DESCRIPTION:

Wealthy and high-profile, the Chase dynasty has everything an African-American family could ever want--except what money can't buy .Ever since Carter Chase's ex-fiancé, Avery, married another man, he's resolved to win her back. And when an accident sends her to his side, Carter seems to have sealed the deal. Of course, the young man has an alibi--one he paid good money for. Soon, Haley and the entire Chase family are drawn into a publicity nightmare that can only end with a shocking revelation ."Winters' juicy novel about a wealthy but utterly dysfunctional family is a real page-turner." --Booklist "Fast-paced and full of drama." --The RAWSISTAZ Reviewer

Same story different day S. Scott Okay, let me first start by saying that I do enjoy reading the "View Park" Series. It's cool to read about a different financial class of African American for a change. (No matter how disfunctional) I read the first novel "No More Good" and it was a breath of fresh air. While I can't relate to the Chases superiority complex, wealth or high-profile life-style, I was intrigued by it.That being said, I continue to what patiently as Ms. Winters creates another set of problems for this family to keep out of the public eye. But this time I wasn't quite as impressed. The novels are about 250 pages each, in my opinion that's rather . The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers said The Saga Continues.. The Chase family will learn a valuable lesson.when you lie, manipulate, and deceive, eventually you will have a price to pay.Carter Chase will never accept the fact that his beloved ex-fiancée, Avery, married another man. He vowed he would win her back, no matter what it takes. He devises a plan he's sure will have her running back into his arms. Avery loves her husband and tries to keep peace between him and Carter, but whenever she's in the presence of Carter, her emotions go haywire. A near fatal accident has Avery running to Carter's side and he has her where he wants her. However, life has a way of throwing a mea. Good part of the series I have to admit that I was sort of shocked with the twists at the end with Haley. I do wish that Leigh was more prominently shown, but Haley ?Wow.Avery and Carter? I'm disappointed at the ending.Michael and Kimberly? I'm sorta sad, because I wanted Kimberly to be able to have a new beginning, and it just seems to me that she hasn't learned anything. She doesn't WANT to be free of the Chase family.Michael is more than a little pathetic.I enjoyed the book, and can't wait for the next one - please don't let it be so long. And, I wish this were made into a television series.
