A touch of magic, a bit of romance, a legacy handed down through generations make a great read One of my favorite Nora Roberts trilogies. It's for those of us who know there's a bit of magic in everyone and everything. A three century legacy culminates with six people who are tied by blood and friendship vanquishing evil to save their island from destruction. I like the characters, the story, the paranormal aspect, and the whole package. It's light reading. It's not perfect for everyone. For me, it's just what I need at times. I've read this series several times and am glad to have it in print, audio, and electronic versions. Again, not perf. Pugs said I LOVE this series, but. This is my favorite Nora Roberts series!! It has romance and intrigue all wrapped up in a 'spiritual' story that has it's foundation in the Salem Witch Trials. I read the paperbacks many years ago and decided to purchase for my Kindle. The only thing I don't like about buying this series together (and I won't do it again) is that it basically runs one book into another without a chapter listing. Yes, I can bookmark my place to return to but because of this run-on it cannot be WhisperSync'd and I purchased the I LOVE this series, but This is my favorite Nora Roberts series!! We can use our imagination. It was almost like reading porn and how to become a witch and the witchcraft was unreadable. Was not enjoyable reading. It has soured me on Nora Roberts writings and will not read anymore of her books and she used to be my favorite author.She must have lowered her standards in writing.It was a big waste of money!!!!.
