DESCRIPTION:

--Dave Callanan. The Girl Who Played with Fire is a break-out-in-a-cold-sweat thriller that crackles with stunning twists and dismisses any talk of a sophomore slump. Best of the Month, July 2009: The girl with the dragon tattoo is back. Only this time, Lisbeth must return to the darkness of her own past (more specifically, an event coldly known as "All the Evil") if she is to stay one step ahead--and alive. Stieg Larsson's seething heroine, Lisbeth Salander, once again finds herself paire

The fierce heart of this novel is Lisbeth Salander: the troubled, wise-beyond-her-years genius hacker who teamed up with crusading journalist Mikael Blomkvist in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. This time, Lisbeth is implicated in a murder: her fingerprints found on the weapon used to kill two journalists the night before their explosive story about sex trafficking in Sweden was set to be published. Now, while Blomkvist—alone in his belief in her innocence—plunges into his own investigation of the slayings, Lisbeth is drawn into a hunt in which she is the prey, and which compels her to revisit her dark past in an effort to settle with it once and for all.. The electrifying follow-up to the phenomenal best seller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

The plots of his stories are so complex and deep, that you get lost in them and once you are finished you look back in awe over the creation.I don't know enough about the life and early death of Stieg Larsson. All I know is that the first two of the three books he left to be published comprise what can only be considered to be one of the all time classic mystery/thriller genre book series.Once again we are gi. Yet Larsson hides from the reader key details about how Lisbeth became a suspect and whether she is guilty - we don't want to believe it, but there are these facts to consider. Slowly the third person narrator takes the reader inside the heads of key players to reveal some - but not all - of Lisbeth's secrets as well as the hidden actions and motives of people all around her.Mikael Blomqvist returns to do what he can to defend his former lover, whom he believes to be innocent.
