As he soon discovers, a hug is not as readily available as he thought. What about a rock? No! How about a tall tree? No! AAGH! What is that in the bunch of leaves he tries to hug? Surely the sheep will cooperate?!Although upset by Douglas' attention, a rabbit understands what Douglas needs so leads him to the one creature that can give Douglas what he is searching for. Who is it? You'l. Warm and loving! Having this book at home as paperback is just magical! The illustrations are simply adorable, but so is the story! Both my daughter and son fell in love with Douglas as soon as they saw him, and I was compelled to read them the story using different voices and making sounds! Those faces simply demanded it. We are now proud owners of several books by D.Melling, and my little students at my English course simply love learning about family and kindness from Douglas and his
