It isn't written any differently but has some deeper themes that I liked about it. The team member who used to be bullied a lot now has vast amounts of superhuman strength. And you see him tempted to use it on his bully. Later on he does a big hero no-no (villain death). Showing that he believes that since he used to be a victim and now has the strength to prevent other people from becoming victims he has the right to do what he wants. Another member of the team is half alien with an inhuman appearance whose shapeshifting powers kept that hidden, except. th one.
