Wikipedia does a better job than this author Such an immensely disappointing read. The book is very small, with grainy black and white photos, and small font. The text about each designer is broad, and not informative. Wikipedia does a better job than this author, which is sad. I consider myself a novice of Japanese design, but I'm very interested in it, so it's unfortunate when you buy a book a don't learn much from it. Buyer beware- it's a total waste of money.. One MAJOR flaw is that each designer get a section of their own with a photo of the designer at the beginning of the chapeter, well Issey Miyake's is wrong. It's not a picture of Issey Miyake, but of Naoki Takizawa (a former Issey Miyake designer). It's sad that the writer/editor did NOT notice this. How you can NOT tell that the photo is not of Is.
