I loved traveling further with the characters that I know from the first book. The book definitely kept my attention-which can be hard to do at times-and built suspense as the story progressed. Continuing the fantasy saga! Very good storyI liked this book even better than the first one in the series. There is more action, mystery, and depth. It is the darker, doom-filled middle act of the trilogy; the tree of light fails, and the battle begins. I liked the new characters introduced, while also checking on the progress of the main characters who are Hopeful for a new light. There is just the right amount of characters as well (not too many like in the Wheel of Time. I really enjoyed this book I really enjoyed this book.
