A little too basic but OK CCinNC Very very basic, which is what I wanted. However there's too much emphasis on more rough-and-tumble kayaking than I'm going to be doing on our small lake, and a little more detail in general would be useful. But then again, look at the price! So the content doesn't quite warrant 4-5 stars but the price makes it still worthwhile for a novice kayaker like me. BTW I was able to find the detail I needed online at other sites so if you want more info b. good read Edward B. it is a damn good read for anyone who is thinking about Kayaking or Canoeing too,I love Kayaks and every time I visit Florida I Kayak and this book gibe you some tips to make your trip better.. vtbratt66 said instant canoeing & kayaking. Was good basic information, however I was hoping for a little more. Was easy reading and full of information.would recommend this book for the person interested in kayaking or canoeing.
