Despite all of the above I love this novel and look forward to reading the new Sanyare: The last descendant, I am not always moved to write reviews on the books I have read but this book was extremely well put together for a first novel and it encouraged me air my thoughts on the book.Sanyare is a fast paced, kick-starter book, it grips you fast from the very beginning and you cannot stop till all the characters plots have come to a conclusion. It is one of the first fantasy fiction to capture my attention in a. "Haughty elves, fae, and a kickass female protagonist" according to Kindle Customer. The fantasy genre has a reputation for primarily thinking of women as love interests, even when they are the protagonist. But Megan Haskell creates a character I wouldn't want to be on the bad side of.Influenced by Norse mythology, the author steers clear of riding Marvel's or Rick Riordan's coattails and instead weaves a tale of haughty elves an many other creature of folklore in a tale of intrigue and open battle.I can't wait to re. Chic said Great fantasy story. Ok, I love fantasy, and I was very happy to find Sanyare. Elves, pixies, different worlds and from a unique perspective. Wow, I wish I could have pixies like these for friends. Some reviewers seem to think the action was slow, but I didn't think so. I enjoyed the detail of the world building, and especially Rie, the main protagonist. More! I want the next book NOW!
